From Code to Culture: An Evening with DAIS & Theodora Tech
Last week, DAIS hosted an inspiring and intimate evening together with Theodora Tech, bringing together the Stockholm data community to explore what it truly takes to connect code, culture, and collaboration in modern data organizations.
The event centered around a thought-provoking session by Anabel Silva Rojas, Data Consultant at Theodora Tech, who shared her journey through the evolving world of data and analytics. With over 15 years of experience, Anabel walked the audience through the realities behind data-driven organizations, from early-stage technical setups and growing pains to building scalable platforms and, most importantly, fostering a strong data culture.
Her talk, “From Code to Culture – The Art of Knitting Projects, People and Tech,” highlighted a powerful message: successful data initiatives are not just about technology. They are about people, shared ownership, communication, and trust. As illustrated throughout her presentation, even the most advanced data platforms fall short without alignment between teams and a culture that supports collaboration and transparency.
But what truly made the evening special was what happened beyond the presentation.
As always with DAIS, the intentionally small setting created space for real, meaningful conversations. And this time, those conversations were on fire. The room quickly filled with energy as participants engaged deeply, exchanging ideas, sharing experiences, and continuing discussions long after the formal session ended. It was a clear reminder that the strength of the data community lies not only in knowledge, but in connection.
A huge part of the evening’s success was thanks to Theodora Tech’s incredible effort in hosting. From the moment guests arrived, it was clear how much care had gone into every detail. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed to make everyone feel included. From food and mingling to small personal touches, even custom-made stickers for the event, nothing was left to chance.
Theodora Tech didn’t just host an event; they created an experience. One where people felt comfortable, engaged, and genuinely excited to be part of the community.
As the evening came to a close, one thing was certain: this was more than just a meetup. It was a reflection of what happens when technology, people, and culture are truly “well-knitted” together.
